Why this scheme type carries the requirement it does
A logistics platform typically involves site-wide stripping, deep drainage, attenuation basins, extensive yard construction and heavy services. Very little of the site remains undisturbed, so sampling arguments have limited traction.
The approach that keeps it proportionate
Because disturbance is extensive and shallow to moderate, strip, map and sample is often the proportionate method, run in phases ahead of the groundworks contractor. This can be integrated with enabling works if it is written into the approved scheme.
