Why this scheme type carries the requirement it does
Unlike solar, almost the whole compound is disturbed: level platforms, concrete bases, bunds, attenuation and fire-water provision typically strip the site. Grid connection routes add linear works beyond the compound boundary.

Treat the compound as fully disturbed and scope accordingly, then handle the connection route as a separate linear package. Because the areas are modest, evaluation and mitigation can often be completed quickly if they are started early.
Identify the concentrated impacts
Send slab and foundation details, drainage, cable routes, substation works and temporary access. Separate these from areas where no below-ground work is proposed. The approved archaeological response depends on both deposit survival and the depth and extent of those impacts.
